'Parisian' Plywood?

JANET: What. The. Hell?

JOY: Yeah. It's all plywood, baby.
JANET: Uhm, WHY?

JOY: Because two architects in Paris thought it would be 'cutting edge' to re-do a loft with it.
JANET: It's plywood. Just because it's in Paris doesn't make it cool.
JOY: Well, in the article I found this quote: "Combined with the other moveable furniture, plywood has stopped looking cheap, and starts looking high-end..."
JANET: So here's the thing: the words 'plywood' and 'high-end' never have-- and never will-- go together.
JOY: Listen, if the article has to flat-out tell you it has 'stopped looking cheap', then guess what--
JANET: It looks cheap!

  6. Looks like every Canadian's basement rec room. Except ours...the last owners painted and papered the plywood panelling. Guess it's still under there somewhere though...

  7. Listen - have you actually looked at the price of plywood - trust me - it's high end. Now - if it were particle board or MDF ... .
